THE ACTIVITIES OF MULTINATIONAL COMPANIES: PROBLEMS AND POSSIBILITIES

Abstract

The article analyzes the dynamics and structure of foreign direct investment by multinationals in Ukraine. Industries of the national economy of Ukraine attracting foreign investments most are described. Distributing of the attracted lines of foreign investments is investigated according to the basic regions that are recipients of investments of Ukraine. The necessity of bringing in foreign investments in modern terms is substantiated.   The main problems of foreign investments flows is investigated.

Foreign direct investment in Ukraine play an important role, after all, contribute to the economic development of the country.  Multinationals are invest their funds in a country with a high level of investment attractiveness.  At this stage of multinationals is the most important Ukrainian investor, and foreign direct investment  allow to realize global expansion.  Most foreign investors are get a quick profit. The volume of foreign investments in Ukraine have had a tendency to grow by 2014.  At the same time this year is observed with the highest volume of foreign direct investment of $57 billion. USD.

. Foreign direct investment in Ukraine came from 125 countries. The main five countries-investors are the Russian Federation, Cyprus, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Austria.  Individual regions have diverse investment attractiveness. Most investments come in the industry, financial institutions, and the smallest in professional and scientific activity.

The main problems of the development of investment activities of multinationals are: the ambiguity of the legal base, a large degree of bureaucracy and corruption in affair, the low level of solvency of the population, inefficient judiciary, malonerozvinutìst′ insurance and stock market.

Appropriate measures to improve the investment climate of Ukraine are the main priorities for stimulating the activities of multinational.
