MODERN TREND IN THE LEASING MARKET IN UKRAINE

Abstract

Leasing is one of the most important forms of investment and entrepreneurial activity that can significantly accelerate technological progress of production, which in turn will bring significant competitive advantages to the economy and intensify the investment process in the country. This is why the research of development  and functioning trends of the leasing market plays an important role in intensifying restructuring of the Ukrainian economy, which reflects the relevance of the chosen subject.

This article reveals the essence of the concept of leasing theoretical and practical point of view, and highlights the concept of “leasing” according to defined in the Ukrainian legislation.

The article conducted detailed analysis of the main trends in the leasing market in Ukraine during 2014-2016 years. We analyzed quantitative and qualitative indicators leasing market: the number of lessors in Ukraine, the dynamics of the number and value of financial leasing contracts as a whole, and separately by sector, compared to the structure of the sources of leasing operations in recent years. The given article presents author`s conclusions that the market of leasing services in Ukraine is at an early stage of development but it has significant potential for growth. The key indexes of the functioning of this segment of the financial market signaling us about positive trends in its activities.

 Therefore, the authors have given a basic steps, which is necessary to help to intensify development of financial leasing in Ukraine.
