CONCEPTS OF MODERN IDEAS ABOUT ECONOMIC NATURE OF FINANCIAL MEDIATION

Abstract

The basic reasons that prompted the emergence of various types of mediation on the financial market are defined. The stimulating factors of the Ukrainian Institute of financial intermediation development in the end of XX – beginning of XXI century are presented. The incorrectness of renaming «the financial intermediary» into «the financial intermediation» is found. An assessment of the existing theoretical approaches to defining the essence of the concept of «financial intermediation» is assessed and the conceptual foundations of the interpretation of its content are formulated. On the basis of research of the financial intermediation theory was identified that this phenomenon should be considered comprehensively, taking into account the professional activities of financial institutions that specialize in providing financial services to meet
the financial needs of economic agents by organizing the movement of value and transformation of savings into investments, and other institutions financial market, which contribute to the effectiveness and safety of such a transformation.
