Abstract

The article is devoted to the detailed analysis of the history, characteristics of the formation and operation of the information industry. Done review existing definitions of the nature and meaning of information business and the characteristic features of business information. From the study determined that the information business is economic activity that is connected with the production, storage, processing and distribution of products, technologies and services for profit and satisfy the information needs of individuals and entities.
