This study examines the theoretical and methodological foundations for evaluating the management efficiency of transport enterprises operating under rapid digital transformation, heightened service quality demands, and persistent external economic volatility. The research substantiates that the inherent complexity of assessing managerial performance in the transportation sector stems from multiple industry-specific factors, including multifunctional operational structures, high capital intensity, direct dependence on the technical reliability of rolling stock and physical infrastructure, cyclical demand fluctuations, workforce competencies, and stringent regulatory oversight. Consequently, these multidimensional operating conditions demonstrate that traditional assessment approaches relying exclusively on static financial and economic indicators are insufficient, necessitating a transition toward an integrated, multi-criteria evaluation paradigm. By systematizing diagnostic methods and performance criteria, the authors formulate a structured procedural assessment sequence designed to examine the institutional health of enterprise management systems, execute longitudinal and cross-sectional benchmarking across peer transport organizations, pinpoint operational bottlenecks, and mobilize latent efficiency reserves. Furthermore, the proposed evaluative framework establishes a comprehensive information and analytical foundation that equips corporate decision-makers to justify evidence-based corrective management actions, optimize fleet utilization, and steer systemic digital modernization. Ultimately, implementing this holistic evaluation mechanism enables transport enterprises to synchronize discrete operational workflows with long-term strategic priorities, thereby fostering superior service quality, operational safety, customer loyalty, and sustainable competitive advantages in volatile logistics markets.
