This study examines the theoretical foundations and systematizes methodological approaches to assessing the competitiveness of industrial enterprises under contemporary economic conditions. The urgency of this research stems from escalating market competition, external environmental volatility, structural economic transformations, accelerating technological innovation, and the critical imperative for industrial entities to proactively adapt to systemic challenges. The authors conceptualize enterprise competitiveness as a multidimensional and dynamic construct shaped by the complex interplay of internal organizational capabilities and external competitive pressures, necessitating robust analytical instruments for objective measurement. By synthesizing prevailing assessment methodologies, the research establishes an integrated evaluative framework structured around four core principles: comprehensiveness, systemic consistency, indicator comparability, and operational adaptability to industry-specific structural characteristics. The practical significance of the systematized approaches lies in their direct application as managerial diagnostic tools, enabling industrial enterprises to timely identify operational bottlenecks, mobilize latent development reserves, optimize resource utilization efficiency, and formulate sustainable competitive advantages. Furthermore, the findings substantiate that an adaptive indicator system allows corporate decision-makers to track competitive dynamics over time and calibrate strategic responses to ongoing shifts in market conditions. Ultimately, the proposed methodological framework provides enterprise leadership with an evidence-based foundation for strategic positioning, risk mitigation, and long-term economic resilience in highly uncertain market environments.
