This study examines the theoretical foundations and systematizes the methodological approaches and guiding principles of strategic management for construction enterprises operating amid dynamic environmental turbulence, macroeconomic uncertainty, and escalating demands for organizational resilience. The research substantiates the critical necessity of modernizing existing strategic frameworks to address industry-specific characteristics, including prolonged investment cycles, intensive capital expenditure, heightened sensitivity to market conditions, territorial project localization, complex contractual networks, and multi-stakeholder ecosystems characterized by elevated operational and financial risks. To navigate these constraints, the study analyzes prevailing management approaches – specifically systems, process, situational, resource-based, competency-based, project-oriented, risk-oriented, adaptive, innovation-driven, and stakeholder-centric methodologies. The author establishes that these approaches should not function in isolation; rather, contemporary operational complexity requires their synthesis into a cohesive methodological architecture. This integrated framework is grounded in core strategic principles: systemic integrity, situational flexibility, cross-functional synergy, and continuous adaptability. Harmonizing these principles allows enterprise leadership to align overarching corporate goals with project-level execution, systematically identify structural vulnerabilities, mitigate contractual risks, and optimize resource deployment. Furthermore, the findings emphasize that strategic resilience within the construction sector depends on an organization’s dynamic capability to absorb macro-environmental shocks and calibrate operational workflows in real time. Ultimately, the proposed framework provides construction managers with an evidence-based diagnostic instrument that enhances operational adaptability, fosters collaborative stakeholder governance, and sustains long-term competitiveness within volatile economic environments.
