Abstract

The article examines the problems associated with the current situation in the financial and economic sphere of Ukraine, which is a consequence of financial globalization. The urgency of this problem for Ukraine is that the openness of domestic financial markets poses significant threats to the development of the domestic economy.
To achieve this goal, theoretical methods were used, such as problem analysis, risk classification, generalization of results, as well as methods of empirical research, namely the development of hypotheses and their confirmation using mathematical statistics (Pearson's criterion).
The study should confirm the hypothesis that the volume of foreign direct investment and GDP dynamics is closely related and the volume of investment affects the dynamics of GDP, and this relationship is expressed in a very high degree, given the high numerical value of r- Pearson's criterion, we can talk about the "super openness" of Ukraine's financial system. It is stated that this dependence poses significant threats, which requires changes in the regulatory financial policy of the state.
