THE CONCEPT «EDUCATION» IN THE WORLDVIEW OF THE NADAZOVYAN GREEKS, VERBALIZED IN RUMEIPAREMIAS
The paper focuses on the analysis of the concept «Education» in the worldview of the Nadazovyan Greeks, verbalized in Rumeiparemias. The research is relevant due to the fact that the problem of national and ethno-cultural components determines the specifi city of mentality, and the elements themselves illustrate a distinct national marking. The author analyses a number of publications on various linguistic aspects of the features of the Nadazovyan Greeks’ ethnos and language study. The author outlines that the paremiological heritage (proverbs and sayings) is an integral part of the everyday philosophy of the ethnos, which is one of the primary and most ancient indices of both ideological and ethnic nature of the people. The results of the research show that the concept «Education» used to be and still remains one of the key concepts in the life of the Rumei Greeks, since they used to pay much attention to education, literacy and knowledge. In a result the fi ndings of the study are presented, as well as the prospects for further study, namely, analysis of other Rumei Greeks’ culture concepts.
