THE ROLE OF STEM-COMPOSITION IN CREATION OF ENGLISH INNOVATIVE UNITS OF THE SPHERE OF COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES
The article is devoted to the investigation of stem-composition as a productive way of creation of innovative units appeared in the English language due to the development of computer technologies. The types of language innovations, created by stem-composition are analysed in the article. The most numerous groups and models of such innovative units are also determined in it.
The stem-composition is understood as a combination of two or more words or word forms in one compound word. The role of stemcomposition in creating innovative units isincreasing due to the fact that many complex notions required their designations appear in the sphere of computer technologies nowadays. According to the structure of components the analyzed innovative units are subdivided into those which are created from simple stems, parasynthetic words, lexicalized syntactic units. The most numerous groupof English innovative units of the sphere of computer technologies are nominative combinations, created on the basis of the model N1 + N2. They are called nominative binoms. Adj+N and Part2 + N are other frequent models of innovative units
created by stem-composition. More and more multicompound lexical innovations appear in the English language of the sphere of computer technologies now as well.
