Abstract

Lately, the problem of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language has come to a great importance in modern educational system. In the article, the topical issue of teaching Ukrainian for the foreign students at the initial stage of language study has been considered. The aim of our research consists of investigating and generalizing the methods and approaches towards forming the language competence for the students, in particular in grammatical aspect. Here the application of the combined methods and receptions, different types of practical tasks in the process of mastering of base grammar of Ukrainian is of great importance. The task of our work can be seen in fi nding out the main problems in the study of grammatical paradigms of Ukrainian and the ways of overcoming those diffi culties. Practical results can be applied both during the preparation to practical tuition in Ukrainian and for students’ self-instruction. The conclusion can be set forth as the necessity of application of complex approach with the purpose of the successful forming of language competence for the foreign students.
