The article presents an attempt to study the current trends in the verbalization of the media image of Ukraine by the German-language press during the Russian-Ukrainian war, in the context of their changes over the past 3 years, from the point of view of text linguistics. The subject of consideration was the monolexemic and composite verbalization of events in Ukraine, starting in 2022, in the German periodicals "Die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung", "Die Tageszeitung" and "Der Spiegel". Based on the material of German press sources from 2022-2025, the evolution of the frequency of use of key "nuclear" lexemes was analyzed. Using quantitative and content analysis, the marginalization of verbal taboos and qualitative changes in the use of lexemes of the "near-nuclear" zone were illustrated. Particularly frequent, stable and consensus narrative markers were identified that retain a high degree of use in the German media, taking into account facts and historical events.
