The main objective of the article is research and improvement of theoretical principles of business process management at the enterprise as the basis for forming business models of enterprises adaptation to changes. Has been revealed the place of business processes management at the enterprise for the adaptation of enterprise activity to changes. The analysis of theoretical approaches of the definition "business processes" and their main types is carried out. Conducted research of modern world tendencies in the formation of business models of enterprises. The conceptual foundations of the formation business models for adaptation of enterprises to changes in the process of management approach are revealed. The paradox between the need for corporate sustainability and strategic agility has been traced, which must be taken into account in the formation of a business model for adapting enterprises to changes. Business models are formed to create more simple elements for analysis, such as: product, enterprise, sphere of activity or network. The growing number of interconnections between components of business models creates difficulties with the formation of a truly effective business model. The latest business models that create conditions for managing business processes for adaptation to changes include managing all business processes of an enterprise, thus creating additional benefits for the enterprise. The process of forming a business model consists of initiation, thought, experimentation and implementation in action. The process of forming a business model differs from the stage of the enterprise's life cycle. Prospects for further research are the development of existing business models of management of business processes and their updating in the direction to form an effective mechanism of enterprises adaptation to the modern dynamic changes in the environment of their functioning.
