Abstract

The article assesses the information and analytical support of the financial and economic security (FES) system for business entities in Ukraine. Ensuring FES is presented as a multifaceted, comprehensive process involving resource optimization, protection against internal and external threats, and the stability of financial indicators. A key aspect of this process is evaluating the information and analytical support system based on an analysis of factors influencing FES, which helps to identify critical elements and risks potentially threatening the stability of business entities (BE).
The article establishes that the FES of business entities depends on a range of factors, classified into major categories to enable timely identification and mitigation of both internal and external threats and risks, ensuring reliability and protection. Internal factors depend on the economic entities’ activities, including managerial, financial, and operational aspects. External factors, independent of any single business entity’s activities, encompass global economic trends, political events, changes in the regulatory environment, and other influences beyond the direct control of individual businesses. The study categorizes these factors and discusses the external factors with a direct impact on FES for business entities, especially highlighting the negative consequences of the ongoing war.
The conclusion emphasizes that evaluating the information and analytical support system for the FES of business entities in Ukraine is crucial for identifying key challenges that BEs face. Addressing these challenges is influenced by numerous internal and external factors, along with the broader macroeconomic environment in the country.
