Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze contemporary strategic approaches to talent management, identify key models and principles of their implementation in enterprises, and assess the impact of these approaches on human capital development and companies’ competitive advantages. The study is based on a systematic review of academic literature and a conceptual analysis of modern talent management models. A comparison of classical and contemporary strategic approaches is conducted, including intercultural, digital, and agile models, with an emphasis on their adaptation to the knowledge economy and a dynamic external environment. It is established that talented employees are individuals who combine innate abilities with an orientation toward continuous development, knowledge expansion, and the accumulation of practical experience. The research demonstrates that talent management has evolved from an individualistic approach to a systemic and strategic one that integrates business strategy and human capital. Strategic talent management includes the identification of key positions, the development of a high-potential talent pool, and a differentiated HR architecture aimed at employee retention and motivation. Intercultural models emphasize the importance of collaborative learning in conditions of cultural diversity. Contemporary approaches take into account digital transformation, automation of HR processes, and the development of competencies required in the digital era, as well as the application of agile principles for flexible talent management and the formation of project-based teams. It is substantiated that models focused on coopetition and the knowledge economy demonstrate the effectiveness of synergy between business, educational, and research institutions in fostering innovation and ensuring long-term competitiveness. Strategic talent management is becoming a key instrument for achieving competitive advantages in modern organizations by enhancing employee adaptability and productivity. The integration of strategic HR approaches, digital technologies, and agile principles enables the effective development, retention, and motivation of talented employees, ensuring the formation of a high-performing workforce capable of implementing the organization’s business strategy in a volatile, knowledge-oriented market.
