Abstract

Human capital is a fundamental element of an enterprise’s strategic potential, ensuring innovation, adaptability, efficient resource utilization, and the formation of sustainable competitive advantages. Modern human capital management increasingly emphasizes strategic orientation, digitalization, competency-based frameworks, continuous employee development, and the implementation of a human-centered approach. These trends demonstrate a clear transition from traditional personnel administration to managing employee value as a strategic asset.
The purpose of the article is to substantiate the role of human capital in forming the strategic potential of an enterprise and to identify directions for improving its utilization efficiency within the system of strategic management.
The article examines how human capital shapes the strategic potential of enterprises within a dynamic competitive environment. The study substantiates the importance of employee knowledge, competencies, motivation, and innovative activity as key factors driving long-term competitiveness and adaptability. It identifies the main dimensions of effective human capital management and analyzes how various factors influencing its quality and productivity impact strategic development.
The development of human capital depends on a combination of interconnected factors, including education, professional training, health, motivation, organizational environment, and technological advancement. Improving the efficiency of human capital utilization requires integrating HR strategies into overall corporate strategy, establishing continuous learning systems, implementing competency-based approaches, leveraging digital technologies, enhancing motivational mechanisms, and fostering an innovative organizational culture.
