This article examines modern analytical approaches and models within enterprise internal control systems amid environmental instability, economic digitalization, and increasing managerial risks. The study substantiates that effective modern internal control requires advanced analytical tools to ensure timely risk identification, performance assessment, and reliable decision-making support. Consequently, internal control is transforming from traditional accounting verification into a comprehensive managerial mechanism.
The paper outlines the theoretical foundations of applying economic analysis within internal control systems. It considers traditional methodologies–including absolute, relative, and average values, grouping, comparison, chain substitutions, and factor analysis–alongside economic-mathematical models, forecasting systems, and stochastic methods for risk assessment. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of heuristic approaches, such as the Delphi method, brainstorming, and synectics, under rapid business shifts.
Additionally, the article investigates the stepwise construction of internal control analytical models, covering identification, development, adequacy testing, and implementation. The study analyzes cognitive, pragmatic, and mathematical models, focusing on the DuPont model and factor analysis as highly effective tools for evaluating enterprise financial efficiency.
Finally, the study highlights how digital innovations shape internal control development. Implementing ERP systems and automated management platforms significantly improves control procedures, operational efficiency, and financial security. However, digitalization introduces new risks regarding cybersecurity and data protection, demanding continuous system optimization.
