Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of the organization of Polish-language primary schools in the Volyn Voivodeship in the interwar period. Based on the educational legislation of the Second Polish Republic and archival documents, an attempt is made to analyze the state of public schools. The main problems faced by the Polish ruling circles in implementing their policy in the Volyn school district are highlighted on the example of individual primary education institutions. Attention is drawn to the fact that the introduction of bilingual schools was aimed at increasing assimilation pressure on national minorities.
