WAYS OF ENSURING INVESTMENT AND INNOVATION DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article examines the trends of the state support of the enterprises’ scientific and innovative development activity during the independence of Ukraine. The importance of investment support of country’s innovative development is grounded. It is disclosed that the state policy of Ukraine for the support of enterprises’ scientific and innovative activity is not systemic and often changes, thus discouraging potential investors who could finance the development and production of new products. It has been determined that in recent years state financing of scientific research is constantly decreasing, simultaneously the total amount of enterprises financing of scientific and research the share of the state and customers of products is reduced, and the share of own funds of these enterprises is increasing. It is substantiated that if Ukraine does not change its attitude towards the scientific activity of innovative products developers and producers, it will further deepen its lagging behind the industrial development of other countries in the world. In order to stimulate scientific and innovative activities, as well as to increase the competitive advantages of domestic products in international markets, it is proposed to increase state expenditures for scientific purposes and provide preferential taxation for enterprises producing and selling innovative products.
