Abstract

The article is dedicated to Volodymyr Vynnychenko correspondence with his wife Rosalia Vynnychenko during 1921–1949. The letters are stored in Dmytro Antonovych Museum-Archives in UVAN in the USA. The author of the research outlines the following dominant themes discussed in these letters: Volodymyr Vynnychenko’s political position, his outlook, ambitious plans, dreams, attitude to people, relationship with his wife, health, life and work conditions, the translation and publication of works, etc. As a result, the conclusion about the importance of the epistolary genre as a historical source is made in this article.
