DANYLO SHUMUK IN THE COMMUNIST MOVEMENT IN VOLHYNIA (20-30’S OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY)

Abstract

The article analyzes the participation of D. Shumuk in the activities of communist parties and organizations in the Volhynia region in the 20-30’s of the 20th century. The features, main directions and methods of work of the figure are revealed. The role of D. Shumuk in the development of the party network within the limits of Lyubomlsky and Kovel districts of the Volhynia Voivodship is shown. Particular emphasis is placed on countering the local Polish administration in relation to illegal pro-communist parties.
