Abstract

This article justifies the use of art therapy as a means of developing the professional creativity of the future educator of a pre-school educational institution. It is noticed that the mediation of the relationship between a student and a teacher by a work of art or a product of art-therapeutic creative activity is a defining feature of art therapy. It is highlighted that while acting as a means of cognition of reality, art allows us to objectify the unconscious, to realize and work out the problem pedagogical situation at a new level , through verbalization and reflection. The psychological impact of art is characterized by the awakening of strong emotions and enhanced imagination, the appropriation of socially-normative personal senses, and the overcoming of internal censorship. The article provides enough theoretical proves that art therapy is an effective and expedient means for the development of professional creativity of the preschool teacher as a multifaceted and complicated phenomenon.
