Abstract

This article is devoted to the historical prerequisites of the development of the confessional educational institutions in Germany over the Kaiser period (1870-1914), namely the growth of the social and economic contradictions in the country due to the rapid development of the bourgeoisie and at the same time the poverty of the populace, general emancipation and secularization of the society, sharp struggle among parties and churches for implementation a control over the educational system of the country.
