Abstract

The article deals with the textual representation of heteroimages in Vasyl Makhno`s essays collection «Along the Ocean on the Bicycle» to apply the imagological method. The study analyzes images of the Others, its functioning in the writer`s essays as an attempt to comprehend the author`s (ethnic) identity and the Own. The paper also investigates the writer` s perception of the world through his comprehension of heteroimages described in the texts.
