Abstract

The article deals with complicated sentences as a kind of complex sentences in the syntactic science in Polish language, describes the main features of this type of sentences in Polish language. The classifi cation of complicated sentences in the syntactic science of the Polish language has been analyzed, taking into account the current state of Polish linguistics.
Various problematic issues of the research of sentence structures have long been among the research interests of scholars. In contemporary linguistics, the problem of complicated sentence studying is relevant to the actual ones, as scientists are approaching the question of isolation and classifi cation of these structures in different ways. In determining the nature of complicated sentences, the autonomous status of predicative parts of these structures and the presence of a formally expressed syntactic connection between them are important. In the classification of complicated sentences in the Polish language, scientists take into account, fi rst and foremost, the content relationship between the predicative parts and, to a lesser extent, the nature of the conjunctions. Some other differences in the interpretation of the complex sentence in the Polish and Ukrainian languages are revealed: sentences that in the Ukrainian language belong to simple complicated with homogeneous sentences, in the Polish language are considered complicated, complex complicated in the Polish language are also sentences, parts of which are combined without connectives and which in the Ukrainian language would be determined as unbound. However, we should note that many syntactic phenomena and concepts remain insuffi ciently studied today and need clarity and new
scientifi c research.
