Abstract

The article deals with the modeling of the verbalization of cosmological worldview in the poetic texts of the prominent Ukrainian poet Oleksandr Oles in the context of the conceptual worldview in the language of the other Ukrainian symbolist poets. It is shown that the most important concept SUN is related to the MUSIC that is similar to the poetry of Pavlo Tychyna. The TIME and the SPACE are involved into the same historical and cosmic rhythm represented by the verbalized concepts STARS, CONSTELLATIONS and especially ZODIAC that is one of the central concepts of the author’s worldview. The cosmos is structured in details by the series of conceptual oppositions related to the functioning of the mythological worldview (EARTH–SKY, FIRE–WIND, DAY–NIGHT, EVENING–MORNING) as well as some special created by the imagery of the author (SUN–WATER, SKY–WATER, STARS–WATER). The concept of EXTASE relevant for French symbolists is present not only for PEOPLE but also for the NATURE isomorphic to the human being, especially for SUN and NIGHT. The ARBOR MUNDI is verbalized by the pagan symbol of OAK and the Christian TREE OF LIFE. STAR and SUN are associated in the context of the unity of MACROCOSM and MICROCOSM as that was stated by Hryhoriy Skovoroda and in the conception of the psychological parallelism
by Aleksandr Veselovskyi.
