THE USE OF INNOVATIVE MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGIES ON FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES IN THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

The article is devoted to the problem of the use of innovative multimedia technologies in foreign language lessons from students of technical specialties in order to increase the motivation to study a foreign language. In universities, the use of multimedia in the study of foreign languages is constantly expanding. The method of using computers in teaching foreign languages turned out to be a promising direction. Learning foreign languages with the help of computers allows you to control the student’s educational activities with high accuracy and objectivity, making constant feedback. New multimedia tools that use audio-visual format provide opportunities that traditional textbooks can’t provide. The authors consider multimedia technologies as an important source of cognitive activity of students, development of their creative abilities, interests, abilities and skills; development in students of independent, flexible, variational, critical thinking. Nowadays there is no need to emphasize a big role of the development of the students’ ability to get knowledge from alternative sources, as well as independent, flexible and creative way of analyzing and summing up the relevant information. Multimedia technologists are the powerful modern source of information that allows students to increase their cognitive activity, develop their creative abilities, interests and skills, as well as making them interested in scientific activities. It is the inculcation of students’ research interest that will further the success of the scientific development of our science and the country in general.
