THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON THE SOCIAL ADAPTATION PROCESS

Abstract

The article considers basic approaches to the definition of the concept of emotional intelligence; its structures; external (interpersonal) and internal (intrapersonal) direction vectors. The basic models and methods of measurement emotional intelligence have been analysed. The article describes the components of emotional intelligence that can form grounds for successful socio-psychological adaptation: temperament, peculiarities of information processing, confidence in person’s own emotional competence, emotional knowledge and skills.
