THEORETICAL BASES TO THE STUDY OF THE HARDINESS IN FOREIGN PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCHES

Abstract

In this article presents the peculiarities to the foreign study of the hardiness (dispositional, situational, existential, cognitive and behavioral approach), its components and interconnection with other psychological phenomena. It gives the theoretical analysis of the main achievements in this field. In particular, this paper reveals the impact of hardiness on psychological well-being, stress resistance, self-efficacy, locus of control, coping strategies, experience of own competence. The role of hardiness in social communication, career building and professional activity is analysed.
