Abstract

The article examines the features of coping strategies in students with different types of attachment. The theoretical and methodological analysis of the structure and nature of coping strategies is given. The role of attachment in the formation of the individual’s adaptive system, in the particularity of coping behavior, is considered. The article presents an empirical study of coping strategies of students with different attachment typologies. It was revealed that respondents with an unreliable attachment type use distancing as the leading strategy. For researchers with a reliable type of attachment, the leading ones use the coping strategies to seek social support. Respondents with an ambivalent type of attachment as a leader use the coping strategy for such a coping strategy as self-control. The results of the research can be effectively used by psychologists and social educators when developing technologies for psychological and pedagogical support of students in higher educational institutions.
