CRITICAL AND POSITIVE THINKING OF THE OFFICER

Abstract

The article shows the role of critical and positive thinking in the professional activity of an officer. It was found that a critical thinking officer can quickly orientate among different types of information, is able to find important data and constructively use it in non-standard situations in combat conditions.
Critical and positive thinking enables an officer to decide bravely, makes him more flexible and better adapted to change. The qualities characterizing an officer with critical and positive thinking were outlined in detail. To them we can include flexibility, persistence, search for compromise. The article covers the range of issues that an officer takes into consideration in the process of changing his own «I-concept».
