Abstract

The article reveals the psychological features of preventing emotional burnout among family members of Ukrainian defenders, taking into account the metacognitive, emotional, adaptive-behavioral, and socio-psychological levels of its manifestation. The results of the empirical study deepen the understanding of this multilevel phenomenon and complement existing practical approaches to its study.
Based on the established patterns of emotional burnout development, a three-stage prevention system is proposed–primary, secondary, and tertiary–which takes into account individual characteristics, levels of burnout manifestation, as well as the age and gender characteristics of respondents.
Prospects for further research are related to the development of programs for long-term psychological support for family members of Ukrainian military personnel, the study of the dynamics of emotional burnout in the post-war period, and the improvement of psychocorrectional measures that will contribute to increasing the overall psychological stability of families and their quality of life.
