The article presents the results of an empirical study of the manifestations of professional burnout syndrome in education professionals under martial law. The problem of the impact of prolonged martial law on representatives of the education sector requires further empirical understanding, which makes the study relevant.
The purpose of the study is to identify and study the manifestations of burnout syndrome in education professionals in martial law. Research objectives: 1. To investigate the degree of severity of the general impact of negative factors of the military situation on specialists and applicants for psychological and pedagogical professions. 2. To identify the components of the manifestation of professional burnout syndrome in specialists in the educational sphere. 3. To investigate the levels of professional burnout in teachers and applicants for pedagogical professions during the action of stress factors as a consequence of the war.
The results obtained showed that prolonged traumatic stress in martial law has a significant negative impact on the psycho-emotional and physical state of education professionals and leads to professional burnout. The most vulnerable is the emotional sphere: the vast majority (81.3%) of respondents noted its deterioration. More than half of the study participants (58.9%) report a decline in health, almost half of the respondents (41.1%) feel a deterioration in life prospects. 7.5% of the studied educators have increased professional deformation, which means the accumulation of exhaustion, emotional isolation / reduced sense of effectiveness of their own work.
This indicates the need for systematic monitoring, research into indicators of professional burnout, resilience, self-efficacy, and professional resilience to develop and implement comprehensive programs of psychological support and psychophysiological recovery for education professionals as an important resource for resilience in conditions of prolonged war.
