Abstract

The article goes on various definitions of the text style from different viewpoints, including that of philology. The author’s role in text style formation has been subject to consideration. On analysis of various approaches to text translation as activity, the translator’s role in formation of the translated text style has been described. The definition of translator’s individual style has been formulated.
