Abstract

The article is devoted to the research of typical syntactic models, which are used for the realization of agreement/ disagreement in modern English. The corpus of agreement/disagreement, which comprises 3400 units, was compiled on the basis of 68 novels of American and British writers of the end of XX – the beginning of the XXI centuries. Samples of agreement/disagreement were also borrowed from the computerized corpora British National Corpus (BNC) and Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA).
