THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL BASIS OF LEARNING THE CONNECTING FEATURES OF THE VERBS AND THE VALENCY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical and methodological basis of learning the connecting features of the verbs and the valency as polysemantic linguistic term and as invariant and variant structure. It identifies such terms as connection and valency and their types. It deals with such issues of the theory of valency as compulsory and optional actants, the correlation of the categories of the theory of the valency with the categories of the traditional grammar, the correlation of the valency with the wordbuilding means and the peculiarities of the valency’s realization in different types of the proposition.
