Abstract

The present article is concerned with the investigation of means of new words-formation in the modern English language. In particular the development of conversion is studied as one of the most efficient means of the word-formation and takes the highest level of activity in all the language spheres. The article deals with the study of categorical conversion, nonaffixed derivatives, compounds, conversives and conversive formations according to such word-formation models as N-V, V-N, N-Adj.
