Abstract

This article focuses on the contextual study of elaborate colour terms semantics in English. Using the linguistic method of corpus-based research, the analysis of elaborate colour terms valency is performed. The results show specific features of colour terms polysemy and define synonymic and hyponymic relations of elaborate colour terms.
