The article deals with the issue of investigation of the dialogue of past and present, as well as defying typological similarities in the realization of the theme and intentional direction in the novels: o. Zabuzhko “The Museum of the Lost Secrets” and M. Lewycka “A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian”.
