Abstract

The scientific instrumentality of M. Grushevski is investigated in the article, as well as the main methods and principles of the analysis of literary phenomenon, which the scientist used, are defined. The author of the article comes to the conclusion, that the majority of the used methods and principles belong to the comparative philology that may be the reason for attributing his work to Ukrainian comparative philology of the first quarter of the XXth century.
