Abstract

The article considers the main components of anthropological catastrophism of the end of the XXth and the beginning of the XXIst centuries, analyzed in the “novel-confession” of S. Aleksievich “Chernobyl: Chronicle of the future” and Irene Zabytko’s novel “The Sky Unwashed”. Typological similarities and divergences, genetic cognation are examined. The observations about genre features of these works are stated. Selected literary material is examined as an example of reflection of technocratic and anthropological crisis of our days, which resulted in new searches in literature.
