Abstract

The paper focuses on the finite clauses and non-finite constructions in Early Modern English examined in the function of the verbal complement. An attempt is made to analyse the semantic peculiarities of the matrix verb in the main clause and the finite clauses and non-finite constructions within a complex sentence.
