Abstract

The world nowadays is up to the cultural exchange and interaction. With the help of the Internet and mass media, the interest of individuals in certain countries or cultures is growing. However, improper reproduction of the standards of behavior regarding a particular linguoculture may cause communicative diffi culties and misunderstandings. The important thing is to pay attention not only tothe linguistic peculiarities of communication but also to the non-verbal elements, because within the culture of certain communities they can have a dominant place in communication.Due to the mutual deepening of the general interest of Ukrainians in Japan and vice versa, as well as the development of international tourism, we must adjust the intercultural communication between our nations. The article is devoted to the study of the indissolubility of the verbal and nonverbal means of communication use in Japanese culture on the background of intercultural communication. The study aims to prevent cultural misunderstandings and cultural shock while Ukrainians and the Japanese communication, as well as overcoming cultural and linguistic barriers.
