Abstract

The article deals with the system of image and symbols in modern Korean children’s poetry of the 20th century. In the work were analyzed poems for children. And also modern literary criticism, there are few empirical studies devoted to children’s Korean literature. This is the foundation for further research into the development of the children’s literature in Korea Peninsula of the XX century. The urgency of the topic of study is due to increased interest in the problem of children’s literature. Korean literature for children has always evolved along with an adult, covering similar topics, stories, problems and ideas. In Korea, thanks to the Taoist ideas, a universal system of symbols was created that infl uenced the character of the images and the construction of space in the work. The aim of this research was to investigate the system of images and symbols in the Korean childten’s poetry of the XX century. The purpose of the article is to analyze the system of images of contemporary Korean children’s poetry of the twentieth century. Due to this research we can see how was the system of images and symbols changed during the 20th century in Korean children’s literature. The article is intended for a wide range of readers and those who are interested in literature, especially in children’s Korean literature of the 20th century. This is the foundation for further research into the development of the Korean children’s poetry in the 20th century.
