Abstract

The following article is dedicated to the research of the author’s individual artistic means and techniques of depicting person’s inner
world in the short stories by M. Khvyljovyi. The very subject of the study is the direct correlation of the writer’s poetical means with the characters’ subjective outlook and world perception. As a result of the complex analysis of the great amount of the sensor images taken from some M. Khvyljovyi’s short stories written in the distinctive impressionistic style it is stated that the protagonists’ perceptive impressions are mostly the main and the most efficient means of person’s psychological and emotional state characteristics. Not to say the all, the most sensitive M. Khvyljovyi’s short stories seams are composed in a patchwork manner and consist of pieces of characters’ reality sensations and attitudes to the world. The dominant aspects of M. Khvyljovyi’s protagonists’ inner universe is the accurate instillation of carefully selected sound impressions, visual effects, touch sensations and smell associated images which derive from person’s spontaneous and instantaneous reality perception and take root in her emotional experience fi rstly. Due to the above mentioned the unique characters in M. Khvyljovyi’s
short stories are always alive and intensively touching.
