Abstract

The article examines the nature of semantic compatibility of derivational affixes, as well as word-building processes in the lexicogrammatical systems of synthetic (Russian), analytical (English) and agglutinative languages (Korean) languages. It examines the theory of valence (semantic compatibility) and the possibility of revealing the patterns of combination of stems within compounds and affixes in the structure of derived words of Korean, Russian and English languages.
