Abstract

In this article, the term «mythmodel» is proposed to separate from such concepts as «myth», «mytheme», «mythimage» and mythology which denoting items belief that due to the reflection of culture successor acquired the status of myth / mythology. Modeling involves conscious guidance on building something new with previously used to culture cells. The first to open this intention were romance writers.
The story of J.Pokalchuk «Lake Wind» knowingly regional: it is a creation of the poetic image of Volyn, rooted in folklore. It used scheme creation of local legends that explain the origin and names of geographic features. Pokalchuk as if trying to compensate for the lack of Volyn romantic tradition model of transition from folklore to literature, returns to romanticism. It also interpretive model on «Forest Song» Lesya Ukrainka. Romantic mythmodel «Volyn» in the story “Lake Wind» is the text that should have been written in the early nineteenth century. Modernist models much folklore and more regional than romantic. Subjecting
subjective to the general, the author finds a place of modernist’s general truths in personal experience.
Despite the time of writing (1990-ies.), the story «Lake wind» can not be described as postmodern. Similar projects of postmodern author embodies in a fascinating game-transformation as outlined author
combination of well-known ingredients.
The article also says that under the influence of Russian school of semiotics researchers are actively exploring urban culture texts, and regional texts as attached to it by analogy. But the concept of «Volyn text», which is included in the scientific use in connection with the study Volyn topics in literature, yet controversial, having unity in such name causes a large number of issues
