ROMANCE MYTHOMODEL OF J. POKALCHUK NOVEL «LAKE WIND» (THE QUESTION OF «VOLYN TEXT»)

Abstract

In this article, the term «mythmodel» is proposed to separate from such concepts as «myth», «mytheme», «mythimage» and mythology which denoting items belief that due to the reflection of culture successor acquired the status of myth / mythology. Modeling involves conscious guidance on building something new with previously used to culture cells. The first to open this intention were romance writers.
The story of J.Pokalchuk «Lake Wind» knowingly regional: it is a creation of the poetic image of Volyn, rooted in folklore. It used scheme creation of local legends that explain the origin and names of geographic features. Pokalchuk as if trying to compensate for the lack of Volyn romantic tradition model of transition from folklore to literature, returns to romanticism.
