IMAGINARY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE BINARY CONCEPT «NÄHE» IN THE GERMAN LINGVOCULTURE

Abstract

The article is devoted to research of іmaginary component of the binary concept «NÄHE», interpretation of it is carried out linguistic representation in German lingvoculture. In cognitive linguistics the concept of metaphor is examined as a main mean of our conceptual system. The current vocabulary comes after the sources of metaphorical new view in outlined to lingvo-informative space. In the article the reconstruction of the concept is carried out by conceptual metaphors on the base of the electronic data corpus « Digitales Wörterbuch der deutschen Sprache des 20. Jahrhunderts» (DWDS). Arsenal of metaphors of the concept «NÄHE» contains the multiplicity of structural, orientational, ontological metaphors (according to G. Lakoff). The structural metaphor NÄHE – DOMESTIC CONNECTION contains the following slots: NÄHE IS DEGREE OF CONSANGUINITY; NÄHE IS SPIRITUAL CONNECTION; NÄHE IS MEASURE OF EXPRESSION. Orientation metaphors of the concept «NÄHE» presented two types of contrasting: «inside – outside» and «close – far». The following ontological metaphors were abstracted from attributive diversification: NÄHE IS A WARMTH; NÄHE IS AN INEVITABLE EVENT; NÄHE IS A RISK; NÄHE IS AN GLUEY SUBSTANCE; NÄHE IS A INEFFECTIVE EFFORTS; NÄHE IS A DANGER; NÄHE IS A PAIN; NÄHE IS A DESTRUCTION. The article defines the axiological status of metaphorical constructions, which is fixed in the minds of the native spea­kers.­ Prospects for future research are projected.
