Abstract

In the article the theoretical foundations of an adequate translation English neologisms of social sphere to Ukrainian language are analyzed, also the following basic ways of the translation of the English innovative vocabulary as transcription, transliteration, replication, descriptive translation and the translation with the help of direct intervention are discussed. Illustrative material (English neologisms, which were formed with the help of such different models of derivation as affixation, word composing, blending and so on) has been selected from such printed periodicals of recent years. The study of translation adequacy has also included the analysis of the range of common ways of word formation of presented in the work English neologisms, also the authors suggested their Ukrainian translation. It has been proven that the way of the translation of neologisms depends on the context and on the basis of the analyses of its structure. In the article were established the most relevant ways of obtaining an adequate translation of English-language neologisms. The general scientific significance of this work is that the material developed by the authors represents a certain contribution to such a linguistic discipline as the theory and practice of translation from English, which is taught in the context of modern European education.
