Abstract

The article focuses on the analysis of the curriculum and educational and professional training program of bachelors of specialty 014.01 Secondary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature. It is noted that the need for updating the content of education is caused by processes of integration of the educational system to the European educational space, the introduction of a competent approach in educational activities, the requirements of academic mobility. It is emphasized that teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature form active members of society who respect national traditions and the state. The preparation of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature involves a deliberate process based on the curriculum, educational profile of specialty, educational and professional program, taking into account state standards and other normative documents. It is noted that the process of studying at the bachelor’s degree is aimed at the applicants’ for higher education the formation of higher and general competences. The main forms of organization of higher education students of the first (bachelor) level include lectures, practical sessions, seminars and students’ independent educational activities. It is revealed that the curriculum contains disciplines related to the cycles of general, professional training, as well as the cycle of selective disciplines. The bachelor’s educational program necessarily includes educational (classroom) work and teaching practice in educational establishments. It contains all the disciplines that are in the curriculum of the specialty in accordance with program competences and learning outcomes. The educational program has 1 integrated competence, 13 general and 16 professional competences. It is found that the educational program contains 68 learning outcomes, which testify the degree of competences’ development within the chosen specialty.
